World Sepsis Day on 13 September

On World Sepsis Day, we join a global effort to raise awareness about sepsis—a life-threatening condition that claims millions of lives each year. Despite its prevalence, sepsis is often under-recognized and misunderstood. Early detection and timely treatment are crucial in saving lives.

Today, we stand together to spread the word, support survivors, and honor those we’ve lost to this silent killer. Let’s use this day to educate ourselves and others, ensuring that more lives are saved through awareness and action. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against sepsis.

Charity Cart Race on 14.09. in Wohlen (AG) for Elia Epifanio

In memory of their beloved son, Elia Epifanio, who tragically passed away on March 31, 2023, his parents are organizing a charity race which will be held on September 14, 2024, at the go-kart track in Wohlen (Aargau). This event is a tribute to Elia’s life and also an effort to raise awareness about the critical issue of sepsis, as early detection of sepsis can save lives. Sepsis is still too often missed and many are not aware of this devastating disease and its consequences. Through this event, Elia’s parents aim to honor Elia’s memory while educating others on the importance of recognizing and responding to sepsis. More information about the event under:
