PD Dr. med. Aline Wolfensberger is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, with a focus on infection prevention and control. She has a longstanding interest in implementation science and practice and earned a certificate in Implementation Science from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Since 2023, in addition to serving as a leading attending physician at the University Hospital Zurich, she has been a senior researcher at the Institute for Implementation Science in Healthcare at the University of Zurich. She leads projects focused on optimizing the translation of evidence-based practices into clinical settings. With her dual expertise as a front line healthcare professional and a specialist in implementation science and human-centered design, she supports the Swiss Sepsis Program and Work Package leaders in facilitating the adoption, implementation, and utilization of the Sepsis Pathway.
