Geneva briefing against the greatest health threat

With Swiss participation, the Global Sepsis Alliance presented its latest briefing paper for politicians and the media in Geneva (5×5 briefing). It contains five facts about sepsis, for example that most sepsis deaths are preventable. It also contains five actions that can help prevent it – such as the call for sepsis to be addressed more strongly in the education and training of healthcare professionals. Jennifer Epifanio, affected mother of a boy from Switzerland who died of sepsis, told the moving story of her family. And Nora Lüthi from the Swiss Sepsis Program explained the Swiss, multilingual and federalist approach to the fight against sepsis.
